Baron-Cohen Apologises As Boris Character Gets Out Of Hand

Comedy actor and comedian Sachs Baron Cohen was forced into an apology tonight after it emerged that he is the real face behind Boris Johnson.
Baron Cohen is a master of disguise and has duped the public, celebrities and politicians in the past with creations such as Ali G, Bruno and Borat. But it turns out that Boris is his most audacious and successful hoax yet.
“I never thought it would get this far” a clearly shaken Baron-Cohen told the Bugle “I’ve had the character become increasingly incoherent, inappropriate and manifestly incompetent in recent weeks but it makes no difference. There’s now a serious risk that he…well I…could become Prime Minister and I’m going to have to pull the plug. I’d just like to apologise.”
Tory party members were shocked when news of Boris real identity was revealed this evening. “I just thought he was a bit of a shuffling twat” one told the Bugle “ and that’s why I voted for him.”
The withdrawal of the Boris character from the leadership race opens the way for the return of one of the other candidates. One man who won’t be returning is Rory Stewart who has ruled himself out on the grounds that he is in fact Johnny English given a quick makeover by Rowan Atkinson.
