Barnsley Woman To Have Back Shaved For Charity

A woman from Barnsley is to take the unusual step of having her back shaved for charity. Karen Clunge (28) from Wombwell hopes to raise at least £12.50 for a refuge for battered fish in Royston when she has the procedure carried out at Postlethwaites Beauty Emporium on Wombwell High Street, next Wednesday.
“I’m sure I’m going to feel a bit chilly at first and I’ll probably get some strange looks around town,” Karen told The Bugle “but it’s worth it to help a worthy cause. I once had it done in a tennis ball cut in my teens but nothing like this.”
Margaret Postlethwaite from Postlethwaites Beauty Emporium told The Bugle, “This is unusual for us, we normally specialise in beard shaping and gunt topiary but we’re delighted to help out. Who knows, it could start a trend for hairless backs in Barnsley.”
As The Bugle went to press, Karen was thinking of going all out and having her knuckles done as well.
