Police To Roll Out ‘Ram’ Tactic To Tackle Mobility Scooter Menace

Police in London say they intend to roll out their controversial  ‘scooter ram’ tactic after it resulted in a 30% fall in scooter and moped related crimes. The tactic involves using police vehicles to knock offenders off their machines, and it has been so successful that senior officers now want to roll out the tactic to tackle the growing menace of mobility scooter mounted rogue pensioners.

“Let’s face it, these oldies have been getting away with it for too long” one victim who asked not to be named for fear of reprisals from what he called ‘wrinklies from da hood’ told us. “They ride around like they own the place, running over your toes and that, and then if you say anything to one of them, you just get a mouthful of Werthers back.”

Under the roll out plan, The Bugle understands that police will be given authority to ram pensioners out of their buggies for a whole range of offences including entering a crossing without the green man flashing, cutting up a pedestrian, and wearing false teeth while in charge of a moving vehicle.
