Diabetic To Sue Cadbury After Finding Traces Of Chocolate In Easter Egg

A type 2 diabetic from Rotherham says he has taken legal advice and intends to sue after finding traces of chocolate in a Cadbury’s Easter egg. Eddie Ball from Rawmarsh said he couldn’t believe what he found after breaking into the confection, which traditionally consists exclusively of silver paper, moulded plastic and brightly printed cardboard.

“It was definitely chocolate.” he told us “It smelled like chocolate and everything. Obviously you expect a coating of chocolate coloured material to give a bit or rigidity and shape to the silver paper, but this was definitely chocolate you could have eaten. There wasn’t enough to significantly raise my blood sugar levels, but if someone ate 20 or 30 of these, it could get serious. The public need to be made aware.”

A spokesperson for Cadbury told The Bugle that they had already apologised to Mr Ball and launched a full investigation, but at this stage were unable to explain how some chocolate type material had found its way into the production process.
