Millers Fan Left Embarrassed And Humiliated

A long time Rotherham United fan says the club have left him feeling embarrassed and humiliated, following his visit to The New York stadium for the match against Newcastle United on October 1st.

Paul Cadger, 47 from Wingfield, wasn’t due to go to the game, but was given a ticket at the last minute by his father in law Len Crabbe who was unable to attend because of a recurrence of an enlarged scrotum condition.

“I thought nothing about it” Paul told us “And went in through the turnstyle as usual. There were stewards at the other side checking everyone out as they came through, and it was then to my horror that I realised Lens ticket was a cheap  OAP concession one. Anyway, this steward looked me up and down, checked what ticket I’d come in on and then just smiled and said ‘enjoy the match’. For Christ sake, you have to be 65 to get in on one of them tickets. It’s an insult.”

Paul has written to the club to demand  an apology, but has yet to receive a response. We spoke to Richard Tracey, head of supporter relations at the stadium on his behalf, and he told us “I’ve had a word with the stewards, and they’ve checked out the CCTV on the day. While I can’t comment on individual cases, it’s bloody hard to tell with some of these baldy, podgy-faced, middle aged buggers. They’re like babies, they all look the same.”

Paul has been left traumatised by the events of the day, but is determined to bounce back. “I’ve already joined Weightwatchers,” he told us “And am saving up for a syrup. I’ll be sneaking in as a junior next season.”
