Dec Cheers Up No End After Seeing His Pay Packet

Declan Donnelly, one half of star duo Ant & Dec, had cheered up no end last night after seeing his pay packet following Saturday nights solo presenting performance on Saturday Night Takeaway.
The diminutive Geordie had previously appeared emotional and devastated following his presenting partner, Anthony McPartlin’s, arrest for drink driving and re-admission to rehab. But devastation turned to delight last night when he realised that half the act meant double the pay.
“This has come at just the right time for Dec,” an insider told the Bugle, “The clutch has started slipping on his car, the lecky bill has just come in and Mrs Dec is pregnant. He’d never thought about how much money Ant was costing him before, but he just woke up and smelled the coffee. It’s exactly the same hours for double the money. He told me he knows how Gary Barlow must have felt now, when Robbie and that other one left Take That.”
The Bugle understands that Dec intends to leave the door open for Ant to return in some capacity in the future though, just as soon as he gets his driving licence back, and is keeping his eye out for a suitable cap.
