Sooty apologises for ‘blacknose’ in 1970s

In an emotional video released on YouTube this morning, popular glove puppet Sooty has apologised for using blacknose during the 1970s.
The lemon-coloured children’s favourite says like a lot of other middle aged entertainers he is on a ‘ learning journey’ and didn’t appreciate the implications of his actions over forty years ago.
“I would like to apologise unreservedly for using blacknose and black ears for that matter.” he whispered into Mr Harry’s ear during the video. “Although I’m going to cut myself a bit of slack on the black wand. I thought nothing of it at the time, but we’re all learning.”
As The Bugle went to press there was further controversy surrounding the show as Miss Soo took to Twitter, posting under the hashtag #metoo.
