Ryanair relief flights return to UK empty after Brits decide to take their chances with Coronavirus

A fleet of Ryanair aircraft sent to China to repatriate British citizens in the wake of the Coronavirus outbreak, has returned to the UK empty this afternoon,  after stranded Brits said they’d rather take their chances with the virus.

The Foreign  Office has issued advice recommending that British citizens leave China if possible, but that cut no ice with people on the ground in Wuhan Province, many of whom fled to the safety of the departure lounge when they saw the familiar blue and yellow Ryanair livery on the side of the aircraft.”

“I went to Malaga by Ryanair once.” said Ted Rogers from Wakefield who is on a business trip to the area “Never again. I should have known there was something wrong when they drove us seven hours to the airport, measured our bags with a micrometer,  and confiscated our credit cards on arrival. I’ve had a good life. I’d rather just die here.”

The Bugle understands that several distressed passengers were heard discussing raft building techniques and ocean currents as the planes took off again for Stansted
