Corbyn Arrested After Responding To ‘Johnson Out’ Chant From Conference Delegates

Labour Leader Jeremy Corbyn was still in police custody this morning after being sensationally arrested last night after responding to ‘Johnson Out’ chants during his closing speech at the parties annual conference in Brighton. Mr Corbyn’s reaction to the chants – which can’t be described fully in a family newspaper – left delegates astonished, none more so than Diane Abbott who was to be seen staring open mouthed in the front row with what looked like an intense sense of deja vu.

A spokesperson for Mr Corbyn told the Bugle “It was unfortunate. I’m afraid Jeremy got carried away and forgot where he was. He’d have probably got away with it if he’d stayed behind his lectern, but it was when he came out and started jigging around to Get Ready by The Temptations that the police moved in. I think it was on the ‘I’m gonna try to make love to you’ line that they wrestled him to the floor.”

Chief Inspector Ivor Harden from West Sussex police confirmed that a 70 year-old man from west London was helping them with their enquiries. Meanwhile Mr Corbyn’s solicitor, Robin Crook, said after visiting his client that he expects the Labour leader to be released within hours. “They have virtually no evidence” he told The Bugle.
