Australian Cricketer Caught Ball Tampering Blames Long Separation From Wife

The Australian Cricketer at the centre of the ‘ball tampering’ scandal in South Africa has blamed the long tour and an extended separation from his wife.
The ball tampering incident was picked up clearly on TV cameras when Australian bowler Cameron Bancroft was on the field of play in the match between South Africa and Australia yesterday. Addressing a packed press conference. an emotional Bancroft laid bare the frustrations of young men away from home for an extended period.
“You guys know how it is” he said “You’ve been on tour for a while, and you have pockets – deep pockets. Maybe those pockets have holes in. And before you know where you are…well you saw it on the video. I can only apologise to the fans and any children watching. It’s not a good example to set.”
The Bugle understand that the Cricket authorities are considering a number of counter- measures including tighter trousers, shallower pockets, and some judicious supplementation to the afternoon tea.
