Rotherham Man To Sue Fish & Chip Shop Because He Can’t Smell The Vinegar.

A Rotherham man is set to sue a local fish and chip emporium because he has no sense of smell and isn’t able to enjoy the full chip shop experience.

Raymond Dick-Head, 52,  from Rawmarsh says that he went into a local fish and chip restaurant on Parkgate with his son who commented on the wonderful aroma. Mr Dick Head, who has had no sense of smell since losing it in a glue sniffing accident in 1986, couldn’t smell anything and asked the chip shop owner to provide him with an aroma interpreter who could explain and describe the smell.

Mr Dick-Head told us what happened next. “He looked at me like I was mad, and just offered me some extra chips and a few scraps. But I just wanted to share the same experience my son had. It was very much  a disparity of experience compared with everyone else. I believe that under the Equality Act of 2010  it is  incumbent upon the chip shop owner to do everything in his power to ensure that my experience isn’t inferior to other users as a result of my disability.”

A spokesperson for local solicitors Pratt, Shyster and Crook confirmed that they had been asked to take on the case. “Some people may view this as a trivial matter, but there is an important principle at stake which has far wider implications.” he said “And in addition it’s a quiet time of year for us and a crock-of-shit of a case like this at £200 an hour will come in handy. given we missed out on the Little Mix case”
