Brecks Man Puts Car In Garage

A Brecks man has stunned friends and neighbours by putting his car in his garage. BMW driving Keith Parker, 64 of Bawtry Rd hit on the novel idea of storing his £25,000 car in the brick built garage after realising that it was worth about a thousand  times what was already in there.

I know garages are for storing old crap you can’t be arsed to take to the tip” he told us, “but I looked round one day and thought, I bet you could get a car in here. People think I’m crazy but I just don’t care.”

Keith claims using the garage to park his second biggest asset, rather than having  it filled with worthless rubbish, makes perfect sense. “It keeps it safe and clean and it’s warmer to get into in a morning.” he told us.

Matt Davies, Rotherham council planning a officer for the Brecks area was left scratching his head when we told him what Keith was up to. “Well I’ve never seen anything like it before, “ he told us, ” but I’ve looked at all the rules and regulations and there’s nothing to stop him doing it, that I can see.”

Keith is no stranger to controversy. In 2012, we covered his story after it emerged that he didn’t have any off-cut pieces of carpet, dusty wallpaper remnants or broken electrical appliances in his loft, and was using it to store things he might actually need one day.
