Wenger Looking Forward To Break From Hostile Atmosphere At Home As Arsenal Draw CSKA Moscow In Cup

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is said to be looking forward to a break from the  hostile and toxic atmosphere at home as the club draw CSKA Moscow in the quarter finals of the Europa League. The Frenchman has faced a difficult few months at The Emirates with a string of embarrassing defeats and increasing numbers of fans calling for his head.

A club insider said “Arsene is viewing the tie, and particularly the away leg, as an opportunity for himself and the team to get away from all the negativity and hostility that seems to follow them around on home soil at the moment. “

The insider told us that both the manager and the team are really looking forward to the game and a warm reception from the home crowd. ”Russian crowds are always appreciative of a multi-cultural team” he said “and recent events are bound to see them going that extra mile to make us feel welcome.”
