Panic at ITV As Lawyers Demand Last Minute ‘I’m A Celebrity’ Name Change

With the launch of this years flagship ITV show. ‘I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here’ less than 48 hours away, the shows producers were thrown into panic last night as legal pressure mounted. The Bugle understands that station lawyers, under direction from the Advertising Standards Authority and Trades Description watchdogs, have demanded that the title be changed to more accurately reflect the content of the show.

An insider told us “We’ve got away with it for a long time now, but there’s a general feeling this year that we’ve really started to take the piss.” Although no final decision has yet been made, the Bugle understands that front runners for the new title include,

  • I’m an out of work actor. Get me six weeks in panto
  • I’m in debt to the taxman. Get me out of the shit.
  • I’m a celebrities relative. Get me on the telly
  • I’m a reality show sofa surfer. Get me on the next one
  • I’m not getting on with the missus. Get me out of the house

The insider we spoke to dismissed as speculation,  rumours that one title under consideration is “We’re a Half Decent Double Act Propping Up a Complete Crock Of Shit. Get Us Out Of The Contract”.
